FurEver Family is a professional pet care company. We provide our clients peace of mind with the knowledge that they are trusting their loved ones and their homes to a well-established, experienced, qualified, and insured business. We have experienced office staff available to help our clients and speak with anyone interested in designing a pet care plan of their own. We are proud members of Pet Sitters Associates, The International Boarding and Pet Sitting Association, Pro Pet Hero Instructors, The International Association for Animal Hospice, and FetchFind Continued Education.

Reasonable and Competitive Rates:

We understand that owning and taking care of a pet is a large investment, so we make our services affordable and competitive. We offer an assortment of services at many different price points to accommodate all pet care budgets.

FurEver Family was founded on Amy’s passion for animals, which is still the root of our success today. All of us at FurEver Family make it our priority to provide your pets with as much love and attention as you would. Our purpose is to promote your pet’s health and well-being.

Customized Services:

We realize that no two homes or two pets are exactly alike, so we offer a wide variety of services to precisely fit your needs. You are able to tailor your own pet care plan. We offer an estimate of all charges before our registration meeting.

First Rate Staff:

We employ ONLY dedicated pet care professionals. We work with sitters who have practical experience in the pet care field and view their time with FurEver Family as part of their career path. Safety:

For the safety of the pets in our care, FurEver Family offers one-on-one care. We do not offer “pack walks.” Additionally, all of our sitters are residents of the Portland Metro area, so there is always someone close by if an emergency were to arise. We also do not use car decals for advertising purposes, which may alert people to your absence.

Experience and Educational Development:

Our experience and knowledge allow us to better understand your pet’s needs and how to best interact with them. FurEver Family strongly believes in continual education and constant renewal of knowledge. As such, we are always updating our expertise in animal behavior and animal care. FurEver Family also offers Pet First Aid Certification classes for our professional pet caregivers.

Technology and Convenience:

To help our business run as smoothly as possible, we take advantage of all that technology has to offer. We use a high-tech scheduling and database system so NO pet is ever left behind. This portal also provides convenience for our clients to book pet care, view their personal service calendar, and update their billing information and password.

Unsurpassed Personal Service:

We are here to provide our clients with a phenomenal pet care experience. This is done not only with top-notch pet care but also with spectacular customer service. We understand the value of open communication. You can reach the office between the hours of 9 am & 5 pm. We also monitor the voice mail and email in the off-hours in the case of an emergency. Additionally, our sitters leave detailed messages at the end of each visit and to keep you updated on your furry loved ones. We also publish monthly newsletters to keep you informed on all business matters, volunteer opportunities, and promotions, as well as providing you with educational articles about pet care. We also run fun contests and promotions on our Facebook page!

To provide the best service for our clients, it is vital that we obtain feedback. We always follow up to receive an assessment of your FurEver Family experience. We highly encourage our clients to let us know what they loved about the process and what suggestions they may have.

COVID Guidelines

Pet Sitter Safety Guidelines

  • Sitters are to report their temperature first thing in the morning and are required to report any suspected illness to management
    Wear a mask while in your home or in any public places.
  • Any additional supplies are brought with them so they can touch as little as possible.
  • They wash their hands for a minimum of 20 seconds upon arrival in your home, then, with clean hands, they clean/refill water and food dishes, and wash their hands before departing.
  • All surfaces touched while in your home (counters, door handles, light switches, keypads, lockboxes, leashes [if used], etc.) are sanitized prior to leaving, each visit.
  • If you have any additional precautions you’d like us to take, we are happy to oblige!

Client Safety Guidelines

  • Wipe down any surfaces like door handles and faucet handles with an antibacterial cleaner or wipes before the pet sitter arrives for their visit.
  • Have soap, paper towels, and running water available.
  • If you or someone in your home becomes sick on a day where we have a scheduled visit, let us know as soon as possible so that we can cancel the scheduled visit and any upcoming visit(s).
  • If you are home and the pet sitter arrives for a visit, there are two options:
    • Option one – after washing hands, you can prepare your pup(s) for their walk, and then do a hand-off at the door.
    • Option two – keep a distance of 6 ft while FurEver Family Staff follows the procedures stated above.
